Automated Paint Finishing System - Large Reciprocator for Structural Steel Manufacturing
We engineer custom solutions. A manufacturer of structural steel beams came to us with a simple problem. Their paint application was the bottleneck of their manufacturing process and they needed to increase production. Our team engineered and installed this custom paint automation system, consisting of fluid delivery equipment, two down-draft booths with 65' reciprocators, each mounted with five electrostatic spray guns.
The system resulted in reduced finishing time by 66% per beam and increased production by 400-500%. Improved transfer efficiency with electrostatic spray gun technology, along with the repeatability of automation, greatly reduced material cost. The customer's finishing operation is no longer the bottleneck of their manufacturing process and has turned into a competitive advantage against their competition.
